Coco Rocha for Shinsegae

As you should know, or will find out- I adore Coco Rocha. And I adore behind-the-scenes of photo shoots of Coco. Photo shoots allow us to create another world, another dimension where anything can happen. It doesn't matter how cheap or luxurious the garments are, we are captivated by the brilliance of color, movement, shape, and sometimes sound, that emanates from them and inspires us.

Music Mail Monday

Today marks the return of Music Mail Mondays: Lyrics that speak to me, delivered lovingly to you!
I love this old hymn, Come Thou Fount Of Every Blessing. It's so heartfelt, and I love the imagery of it.
This whole stanza sticks out to me, I think because it is my own heart-cry. "Prone to wander Lord I feel it, prone to leave the God I love." Unlike in the play "Faustus", there is no point-of-no-return with God. He is always there to pull me up, as dirty and unworthy as I feel. It's never too late. That kind of grace and compassion alone fills me with peace and joy.

Knockin' on Heaven's Door

Mama, take this badge off of me
I can't use it anymore.
It's gettin' dark, too dark for me to see
I feel like I'm knockin' on heaven's door.

Kid In the Corner

Random thought alert, but I never thought it an effective punishment to put a kid in the corner. Save the embarrassment and slight blow to pride, I'd say they get off pretty easy. However, I'd much rather stick my nose in a corner than be at the mercy of a ruler, wooden spoon or Mama's bare hand!

Anyways- stay tuned for my next post- tonight we are shooting at this beautiful stone church downtown! Im so excited- it has a big red door and everything! I'm so glad we can shoot again, it's been ages!

Eleven Paris

So I was on Lookbook today, which never ceases to amaze/inspire/shock me (in good and bad ways),  when I came across someone wearing the shirt with Karl Lagerfeld and the mustache (pictured below). I literally LOL'd. Two of my favorite things wrapped in the same tongue-in-cheek combination of supreme hilarity?! I had to check this website out, called "Eleven Paris".

Turns out, they have a lot of celebrities playing along, including Mona Lisa, each picture with the caption "Life is a joke".
Isn't it? I mean, stuff happens. It's tiring to be so anxious about everything all the time.
That's why I wish I could afford one of these darlings, but at around fifty bucks a pop I couldn't justify it.

Freedom

All I can say peeps- I'M FREEEEE!
I'm over and DONE with my internship and can breathe again!
School starts Monday, but in the meantime I have nothing to do and all day to get there!
No more 10 hour shifts or working Saturdays!
I just used a lot of exclamation points.

My social life this week:
I've really fallen off the social wagon. But I actually crawled out from under my rock this week to participate in the following:
1. I watched most of the closing ceremonies of the Olympics with Ben and his roommate- mostly to see if the Spice Girls really were performing.
2. Last night I got to participate in a music video for a local band, and I can't wait to share the results with you! It was a lot of fun, a good way to cap off this summer. They had the audience filming on iPhone's as well, so the footage should be interesting!

On a totally unrelated note, I re-vamped an old look in Photoshop and for some reason it reminded me of Anberlin's lyrics:

Clap your hands all ye children
There's a clamor in your whispering
Clap your hands tonight
Hear what the silence screams
Clap your hands
Clap your hands now all ye children
Clap your hands all ye children
There's a clamor in your whispering tonight
